Abstract

In this full-immersion course we will show:

the role of the mixing layer and of the key-schedule in the design of a secure block cipher,
how the cipher can be evaluated as a whole to ensure that it is robust and safe from the most dangerous trapdoors,

how an attacker can take advantage of a bad design in the mixing layer to break the cipher.

The course cost is 1500 euros and the maximum number of partecipants is 6.
