The Talks
Topics: In recent years profinite and asymptotic methods have been successfully applied to general problems of group theory. These new results had applications in number theory and geometry. Professor Daniel Segal has deeply contributed to these developments. In honour of him we will bring together specialists in the field who will, in addition to their lectures on new results in the subject, give several introductory courses.
