Equations and syzygies of projective curves

Program: Petri's analysis on the equations of canonical curves (Math. Ann., vol. 88) pointed to some deep relations between the syzygies of canonical curves and their geometry (see D. Mumford's book 'Curves and their Jacobians' and F.-O. Schreyer's paper 'A standard basis approach to syzygies of canonical curves'). We plan to discuss recent developments in the theory of syzygies, with emphasis on canonical curves and relations with vector bundles on K3 surfaces.'
